Robert Hinsdale Baker was born on January 19, 1801. He was the son of Nathaniel Hinsdale Baker and Jemima Tucker Baker of Walpole.
On November 7, 1824 in Dedham, Robert H. Baker married Eveline Blake of Franklin. She was the daughter of Ebenezer and Ede Blake.
Robert H. Baker was a cabinetmaker, likely working in one of the furniture factories in South Dedham. Robert and Eveline had six children: Robert E., Harriet, Joseph, Ebenezer, Lewis, and Francis.
Robert H. Baker died on May 25, 1852 in Dedham of consumption (tuberculosis). His wife, Eveline, died of the same disease on August 9, 1863.

Fred Eugene Baker was the son of Robert E. Baker and his wife Mary. Fred was born on June 28, 1856 in Dedham and died on April 10, 1861 from scarlet fever. He was 5 years old.
Willie Ellis Baker was the child of Ebenezer Baker and his wife Martha. Willie Ellis was born on February 23, 1871 and died a day later from asphyxia.
Finally, Joseph H. Baker, the son of Robert and Eveline Baker, who was born on December 10, 1832, passed away on January 22, 1886. The cause of his death was listed as rheumatism and bronchitis. It was noted on his death certificate that he was a pauper.
