Frank E. Bailey was born on July 27, 1853. He was the son of Charles Bailey and Julia Ann Litchfield Bailey. Julia Ann Bailey died in 1871 of lockjaw and, in 1873, Frank’s father married Mary Elizabeth Burke Trask who brought two daughters into their marriage: Ella and Lizzie.

On October 8, 1874, Frank E. Bailey married Lizzie Frances Trask, the daughter of his father’s wife.

Frank and Lizzie Bailey had five children: Franklin, Walter, Edward, Julia, and George. Edward, who was born in January, 1883, died a year later in May of 1884. The other children lived to adulthood.

Frank E. Bailey was a moulder in an iron foundry. At various times the family lived on Hill Street, Nahatan Street, and in 1918 at 97 Walnut Avenue. Frank died on July 17, 1921. He is interred in the family plot along with his wife, Lizzie, who lived until the age of 88 and died in May, 1947. Beside them is their son, Edward.
