Albert Henry Morse (1867-1932)
Ada J. Burke Morse (1875-1935)
Albert H. Morse, Jr. (1897-1941)

Albert Henry Morse was born in 1867. He was the son of Albert Morse and his second wife, Mary M. Mellen Morse. He was the second of four children of the marriage.
On July 18, 1897, Albert Henry Morse married Ada J. Burke who was born in New York.
The couple had four children: Albert H., Ethel, Francis E., and Percy.
Albert Henry Morse was involved in millinery, the design, manufacture, and sale of hats and other headwear. His occupation was identified as salesman in 1910 and as “merchandise man” in 1930.
Albert Henry Morse died on October 1, 1932. The family was living in Cambridge. Less than three years later, on March 13, 1935, his widow Ada Burke Morse passed away suddenly in Cambridge. Although their names are not engraved on the Morse stone, cemetery records indicate they were each interred in the Morse family lot 119, along with Albert’s parents.

Albert H. Morse, Jr. was born on October 2, 1897 to Albert Henry and Ada Burke Morse. On November 27, 1921, he married Catherine Raftery in Cambridge. They had two daughters: Dorothy and Barbara. Albert H. Morse died on January 1, 1941 in Norfolk, Viriginia where he was employed as a clerk. According to records at Highland Cemetery, he too was interred in lot 119 of Old Parish Cemetery.

I wonder if Albert Henry Morse, the milliner, who lived in Cambridge, was employed in any manner by Walter F. Tilton, whose millinery store was located in Downtown Crossing, Boston.
