Jeremiah Kingsbury was born on March 24, 1701. He was the son of Nathaniel and Abigail Baker Kingsbury. He became a farmer and settled in the area designated as South Dedham.

On September 22, 1727, Jeremiah Kingsbury married Rest White. She was the daughter of Henry and Mary Weeks White of Dorchester and was born in 1699.

Jeremiah and Rest Kingsbury had six children between 1729 and 1741: Abigail, Jeremiah, Elizabeth, Nathaniel, James, and Sarah.

Jeremiah Kingsbury died on March 15, 1786; his widow, Rest White Kingsbury, passed away on December 23, 1789. They are interred in Old Parish Cemetery along with Jeremiah’s son, Jeremiah Jr. and his family.

Jeremiah Kingsbury’s parents, Nathaniel and Abigail Kingsbury, who died in 1724 and 1764 respectively, are buried in the Old Village Cemetery in Dedham.
