On October 22, 1826, Joseph Page married Elizabeth Farrington Page. She had been born on August 25, 1801 to Ebenezer and Elizabeth Farrington.

The Pages ran a successful farm with a home built at today’s 397 Washington Street.

The couple had one child: John B. Page who was born in 1827. He too became a farmer.

On May 12, 1868, Elizabeth Farrington Page died of heart disease. Joseph and John Page continued to work the farm. On February 2, 1875, John B. Page married Nancy Chamberlain. She cared for her husband and his father until Joseph Page’s death on August 16, 1882 of old age.

John B. Page died in 1890. After her husband’s death, she continued to live in their home at 397 Washington Street, eventually renting out rooms to boarders. Nancy Chamberlain Page died in 1924 in a tragic fire.

What remained of the farm continued to be called Page’s Field.
